Matthew Prince is an orthopedic surgeon with additional fellowship training in Orthopedic sports medicine.

He completed his undergraduate degree in Physiology at the University of Colorado and received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency through MSU at McLaren Oakland and the Detroit Medical Center and did a sports medicine fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic.

Prince assisted as a team physician for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Twins, and Rochester Ice Hawks. Surgically, he is focused on complex arthroscopic and open surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee.

He is an assistant clinical professor for Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine and has published numerous articles and textbook chapters on surgical management of multiligamentous knee injuries, meniscal tears, and cartilage injury.

Prince is the team physician for the US Ski and Snowboard team and Stoney Creek High school and serves on the state Board of Directors for Special Olympics Michigan.

Prince lives in Rochester with his wife and three children.
