Dr. Ahmad Nsour was born in London, lived in California during his early school years, then moved to his home country of Jordan. When it came time for college, he went to Pakistan and then ended up at Oakland University where he completed his master's and doctoral degrees in electrical and computer engineering.

His Rochester-based engineering company, Eagle Technology Competence LLC, was founded in 2015 and supports vehicle manufacturers with the development and testing of infotainment systems, connectivity and autonomous driving. The company has locations in Australia, Jordan and India with three more sites due to open in Brazil, New Zealand and South Africa, all to support vehicle OEMs and Tier One suppliers.

In his previous positions at Harman International, he led a team of over 300 engineers globally, oversaw nine accounts and 20 product lines related to infotainment systems. Also at Harman, Nsour hired and mentored more than 400 engineering students from local colleges to help prepare them for work after graduation.

He previously was a representative to the Bluetooth Special Interest Group where he co-authored several specifications to improve the wireless technology for the automotive industry and has authored 11 technical papers on wireless communication systems.

Nsour also volunteers to help cancer survivors and to nurture the next generation. He supervised a team of three mentors for 15 students at Madison High School in Madison Heights through the Detroit Economic Club's Career Readiness Academy. The academy is a seven-month program that brings high school students and young leader-mentors together monthly to help the students navigate high school and find greater success in the working world.

At Gilda's Club Metro Detroit in Royal Oak, he helps support educational, social and workshop events.

Nsour is a Royal Oak resident.
