Colleen McClue is a Michigan enthusiast, event organizer, small business owner, and entrepreneur. She was the first person in her family to graduate from college and has a Bachelor's degree from Oakland University.

She started her first business at the age of 19 in her parent's basement, custom screen printing a Detroit clothing line. In 2012, McClue was able to open her own retail shop in Royal Oak. She transitioned to an online business while raising her daughter, but jumped at the chance when her storefront in Royal Oak was available to rent again.

Since reopening Made in the Mitten, more than 100,000 visitors have come through the store each year.

McClue started a charity event when she was 19 called Hope For The Holidays which benefitted Gleaners Food Bank and the Royal Oak Judson Center. She is also working with the organization Love, Team Tessa to organize events next year. McClue is a Royal Oak resident.

Made In The Mitten not only sells Michigan-made goods, the store also offers classes on how to crochet, candle making, bath and body products, painting, screen printing, design and much more. It's time to bring art back!
