Rachel Hurst joined the Kroger Co in 2008 as a part time clerk working in the Deli Department. She has since held multiple leadership positions including Assistant Store Manager, Deli/Bakery Coordinator, Store Manager, Public Affairs Specialist and most recently Corporate Affairs Manager.

Hurst has a true passion for results and people and has a unique ability to blend the two.

She spends most of her free time volunteering for multiple non-profits. As a 14-year cancer survivor, Hurst finds purpose in bringing hope to others. She is currently on the board for Angels of Hope and the Associate Board for City Year Detroit.

Not only does Hurst manage a multi-million-dollar budget for The Kroger Company, but she creates partnerships that have a direct impact to the bottom-line of the company. In 2013, Rachel won the Community Service Award for the Kroger Company of Michigan and in 2017, she won the Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery, a nationally recognized award and the prestigious President Award for The Kroger Co.

In 2018, Hurst started Women's Edge, an associate resource group for the company, to help young women professionals in the workplace to strive and excel both professionally and personally. She continues to develop those around her, while always remembering that balance between work and her two young children must come first. Hurst is a resident of Commerce Township.
