Tyler Frederick is a husband, father of two children and two yorkies, a reservist in the US Coast Guard, a triathlete and frequent blood donor. He works with at-risk youth at Children's Village, helping reintegrate the children into their community after residential placement.

Frederick has been in the US Coast Guard for more than 14 years and worked for Children's Village for nearly 7 years. He volunteers as a poll book operator during local elections, walks shelter dogs on his lunch break, and during his free time, enjoys the Oakland county Parks.

Frederick has received the state of Michigan's Youth Care worker of the year award and follows a strict training regimen to compete at some of the most rigorous athletic competitions - triathlons.

Frederick is a resident of Lake Orion.
