Heather Farmer is the Deputy Finance Director and Deputy Treasurer for the City of Auburn Hills. She received an Associate of Business Administration degree from Oakland Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Walsh College.

Prior to joining the City of Auburn Hills in October 2016, Farmer worked in the private sector and has more than ten years' experience in the accounting and finance field. Heather is currently completing a dual master's program at Walsh College, working toward a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Finance degree.

She is a member of the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association and was elected to participate in the Leadership Oakland Cornerstone program. Farmer also volunteers her time with Meals on Wheel. She was named the Auburn Hills Optimist Civilian of the Year in 2018 and received the Auburn Hills Senior Services Director's Award in 2019.

Heather lives in Rochester Hills and in her free time enjoys camping, kayaking, reading, and making memories with her family.
