Daniela is a patent attorney at The Dobrusin Law Firm, P.C. located in downtown Pontiac. Her practice focuses on both domestic and international patent application preparation and prosecution. Many of her clients are involved in automotive, medical, energy systems, and consumer goods industries. Daniela was selected as a SuperLawyers Rising Star in both 2017 and 2018.

During her time in downtown, she has become involved in a number of Pontiac organizations and projects where she actively leads and supports activities, programs, and incentives which benefit the businesses, residents, and visitors. Daniela currently serves as the President of Main Street Pontiac, part of Oakland County's Main Street program; the Vice-President of the Pontiac Downtown Business Association; the Secretary for Flagstar Bank's Big Idea Grant Program; and an Advisory Council member for Holiday Extravaganza.

Daniela's commitment to the Pontiac community stems from the start of her career before becoming an attorney. Daniela started her career as an engineering co-op student at General Motors' Pontiac Assembly Center and was then hired as an engineer upon graduating. During this time, she began volunteering in local schools promoting STEAM education and careers, and providing workforce training and development to help fellow coworkers find continued employment, even during the automotive recession.

She understands continuous personal development is critical in furthering her career, staying abreast of changes in the law, and providing the best services to her firm's clients. She was selected for, and participates in, the Michigan Intellectual Property Inn of Court. She is also a member of the Women's Bar Association and formerly served as the Website chair.

Daniela earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Wayne State University Law School, graduating cum laude in May 2015. While in law school, Ms. Walters was involved with Wayne State’s Patent Procurement Clinic, Student Trial Advocacy Team, Student Board of Governors, and the Wayne Intellectual Property Student Association.
