Becky Ridky has served as the Executive Director for the Michigan Senior Olympics (MSO) since 2014. The Michigan Senior Olympics is a non-profit organization that promotes healthy lifestyles by organizing state games, sports competitions and health, fitness, and wellness programs for active individuals 50 years plus.

Ridky received a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management from Lake Superior State University. Here she was awarded the outstanding Sport and Recreation Graduate award and most recently was awarded the Paul Ripley Young Alumnus award for early success in her career. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree she began working on a Masters of Public Administration degree from Oakland University from 2008-10, Ridky started her career as a graduate assistant for Oakland University's intramural sports program.

After 2010, Ridky worked as the Health and Wellness Coordinator for the Older Persons Commission (OPC) of Rochester, Mich. During this time Ridky volunteered as an event coordinator for the Michigan Senior Olympics. This eventually led her to become the Marketing & Sponsorship Manager from the organization. After three years in this role she was promoted to Executive Director.

Ridky has served on many boards and committees including the National Senior Games Board of Directors, MSO Local Organizing Committee, NSGA Wellness Committee, and OU Rec and Advisory Committee, to name a few.

Her current work with the Michigan Senior Olympics focuses on enhancing the quality of life for the over-50 age group by providing and developing programs in physical fitness, nutrition and enhancing mental strength and sports skills. Michigan Senior Olympics offers the 50-plus population competitive sports and a network of people with the same ideals and lifestyle. MSO is dispelling the myth of aging, as well as serving as the impetus for this age group to maintain a healthy body, mind and spirit.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family (husband Jeremy and 6 year old daughter Ellie), camping in northern Michigan, and taking Zumba classes. Ridky also volunteers at her daughter’s school as Secretary of the PTA. She also serves as an Election Inspector in her community.
