Mary Isrow is the Deputy Deployment Director for Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) for the United States Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) which is headquartered in Warren, MI. In her position, she oversees the CPI mission for TACOM which comprises over 10,000 people, encompassing ten geographic locations across the United States. Mary’s organization is responsible for the efficient and effective operations within TACOM. In fiscal year 2018, her organization reported over $321.1M in financial benefit and dozens of non-financial projects that improved the safety or quality of life for the Soldiers. Mary is also TACOM’s Value Engineering Manager and their only Department of the Army certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Mary received her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Management degrees from Walsh College in Troy, MI. Mary is currently pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.

Mary has received dozens of awards for her accomplishments and contributions to the community, Soldier, and Taxpayer through the years. Some of her awards include a Superior Civilian Service Medal, four Commander’s Award for Civilian Service Medals, two Achievement Medals for Civilian Service, and nearly 20 Commander’s coins from various agencies across the Department of Defense. In 2017, she was recognized at the Pentagon by the Under Secretary of the Army through a highly competitive Lean Six Sigma Excellence Award Program (LEAP) for her efforts on a project that saved the Army over $16.4M and greatly increased Army Readiness. In 2018, she was recognized through LEAP for leading a project that significantly increased Soldier safety. The most notable achievement was winning the 2018 LEAP award for the best CPI deployment organization within the Army.

When Mary is not working or studying, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, trying new food, and being outdoors. She currently resides in Auburn Hills and serves on her community Home Owners’ Association as a Board of Director and the Secretary.
