Attorney
Bodman PLC

From his law Firm’s office on the Big Beaver corridor, to running the Clinton River and Paint Creek trails to raise money and grow community, to furthering the educational experience of Oakland County’s young leaders, David Bosman is an elite individually. David, and his wife Rebecca, treat each day as a blessing and opportunity to show their four children how to make a positive impact on community.

A banking and finance attorney in Bodman PLC’s Troy office, David has worked side by side with banks on commercial real estate financing projects that are changing the landscape of Oakland County. He is listed as a 2018 "Top Lawyer" by DBusiness Magazine for Banking and Financial Services.

David helped incorporate and sits on the board of directors of Hope Water International, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Hope Water International raises funds to provide access to clean water in remote areas in Africa. In 2017 (its initial year), Hope Water International raised more than $435,000. The Hope Water International community can be seen participating in endurance races such as marathons, triathlons, and cycling events. Their blue, black and white jerseys have been known to adorn the Brooksie Way course, the Clinton River and Paint Creek trails, and Stony Creek Metro-park.

Future leaders are sitting in schools across Oakland County, including Leonard Elementary School where David’s children attend. For the past 5 years, David and his wife have chaired the School’s annual Fun Run fundraiser. In 2018, the event raised more than

$14,700 to support the students’ learning. Each Fall, he hangs up his business suit, puts on shorts, a neon shirt, and side-turned baseball cap, and acts as DJ for the School’s annual back-to-school celebration. When asked for his DJ business card one year, David had to reply, “I’m just a Dad and attorney, not a real DJ”!

His belief that education of youth is extremely important motivates his work with the Troy Foundation For Educational Excellence. The Foundation provides grants to teachers in Troy to fund innovative learning opportunities. He serves as a member of the board of trustees.

David Bosman is the embodiment of what it means to live, work and play in Oakland County!
