Robert Wright is the vice president of Genesis In-Home Care, an organization which specializes in supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Oakland County and throughout Michigan. Since 2012, Robert’s leadership has been a focal point in guiding and developing the organization from a startup company to an organization that now provides support to over 70 individuals and employs over 140 people, primarily in Oakland County and the Detroit area. As vice president, Robert is responsible for leading, guiding and directing the contributions of other leaders within Genesis. He is passionate about enhancing the lives of those with disabilities and developing the team around him to improve every day. Robert forms and implements improvements as Genesis grows. Robert is a certified mentor in Gentle Teaching/A Culture of Gentleness. He has been a presenter at the Michigan Culture of Gentleness Conference, the Gentle Teaching International Conference and the Raising the Bar Interdisciplinary Conference where he has presented with the company founder on leadership, teamwork and change. In addition to his work with Genesis, Robert volunteers his time as a softball and poly hockey coach for the Special Olympics and as an amateur boxing coach and fundraiser for Azteca Youth Enrichment in Pontiac.
