Chief Assistant to the Mayor
City of Rochester Hills

Maria is the chief assistant to Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett. As such she leads many of the mayor’s key initiatives, fundraising campaigns, special events and communications. Every day is a little different, whether it’s crafting a creative tweet or coordinating a firework show. She is a founding member of the Rochester Regional Chamber’s Young Professionals serves on the boards of Rochester Area Youth Assistance and the Michigan Municipal League’s Women in Government. Maria earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Oakland University, where she was awarded the inaugural Promising Alumni Award.
