Lucetry Dalton was born and raised in Pontiac by her parents, Lucetry Bonds Dalton and William Dalton, a former player on the Detroit Lions. As a child, she participated in sports, Girl Scouts, ballet/tap, poetry contests, plays and was involved in the Welcome Missionary Baptist Church. She was valedictorian in 2007 at Pontiac Northern High School. She was homecoming queen; prom queen; class secretary; a four-year varsity scholar athlete, co-captain in three sports; a member of the National Honors Society, Who’s Who among American High School Students, and WXYZ-TV’s Best & Brightest. She received several academic scholarships to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She earned a Master of Arts and Ph.D. from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology at its Washington D.C. campus. Lucetry has been employed since 2017 as a licensed clinical health psychologist/fellow at McLaren-Flint Hospital, providing clinical services to underprivileged populations and medical education to residents and medical students. She is a published researcher, a member of various national professional organizations, a board member of Identify Your Dream Foundation and founder/CEO of The Process Academy, LLP (Dalton Sports & Mental Health Training Academy).
