With a calling to public service and community enrichment, Shane Robert Kolo has dedicated his time and career to providing access to equal justice and protecting the rights of individuals involved in the judicial system.

As an assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Oakland County, and former law clerk, indigent legal aid attorney and staff attorney for Circuit Court Judge Jacob Cunningham, Kolo strives to provide ethical, inclusive leadership and access to equal and fair application of the law.

Kolo also is an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and Madonna University as well as a co-founder of the Michigan Election Compliance, which is dedicated to upholding the integrity of democratic processes.

Kolo also serves on the West Bloomfield Township Zoning Board of Appeals and is a member of the Oakland County Equity Council.

He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a law degree from Cooley Law School and is pursuing a master’s degree from Oakland University. He lives in West Bloomfield with his partner.
