My team, in collaboration with D’Angelo Brothers Utilities and the City of Wixom, is actively addressing a sinkhole in a century-old storm drain pipe on Wixom Road, just north of Pontiac Trail. An investigation revealed that this sinkhole was caused by a leaking portion of the Tribute Drain that deteriorated and resulted in a failure of the storm drain pipe. Recognizing the urgency of public health and safety for residents, we are committed to swiftly replacing 70 feet of the 12-inch pipe to restore the storm system’s integrity. This effort underscores the significance of upgrading aging infrastructure to ensure the long-term functionality of essential systems.
