Coulter Heralds GM’s Big Investment in Orion Assembly Plant

Pontiac, Mich. – Oakland County Executive David Coulter released the following statement about General Motors’ $4 billion investment that includes its Orion Assembly Plant where the automaker will produce gas-powered full-size SUVs and light duty pickup trucks beginning in 2027:

“General Motors’ planned investment in Michigan and the Orion Assembly Plant is fantastic news and a powerful tribute to the enduring legacy of auto manufacturing in the state,” said Oakland County Executive David Coulter. “I’m grateful to GM for the thousands of good-paying jobs headed to Michigan and the investment that will help drive the economies of Oakland County and its communities well into the future.”
