County Clerk & Elections Division to Test Election Equipment; Public Invited

OAKLAND COUNTY CLERK & ELECTIONS DIVISION TO

TEST ELECTION EQUIPMENT IN ADVANCE OF

MAY 6 ELECTIONS 

 

WHAT:            

Public Accuracy Tests of the equipment to be used in the Oakland County Absent Voter Counting Board (AVCB) as well as Early Voting for the May 6, 2025 elections 

 

WHEN:            

AVCB:              Monday, April 14, 2025, at 9:00 a.m

Early Voting:    Friday, April 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m

 

WHERE:           Oakland County Board of Canvassers Training Room at the Oakland County Courthouse 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI 48341 (use west entrance) 

 

WHY:               The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to verify the functionality, accuracy and security of the voting equipment to be used for the AVCB and early voting.  

 

"The public testing of election equipment is done before every election, big and small, to ensure our elections are accurate and secure,” said Oakland County Clerk/ Register of Deeds Lisa Brown. “The public is welcome and encouraged to join us at these Public Accuracy Tests and observe firsthand some of the measures we take to safeguard our elections.”

Voters in the cities of Clawson and Ferndale, Ferndale Public Schools, and the Lamphere Schools have ballot proposals to consider.
