Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, Oakland County, MichiganTHURSDAY, APRIL 10, 2025

PONTIAC, Mich. - Oakland County Prosecutor KAREN D. McDONALD is charging Malik Letroy Webb, a 30-year-old resident of Flint, with open murder and multiple other counts as a so-called "super habitual offender." This sentence enhancement, because of multiple past convictions, would ensure a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years if convicted.

On Christmas Eve, Webb is alleged to have attempted to carjack multiple motorists after he was in a car accident. He is alleged to have killed one victim, Dr. Barbara Wolf, and injured two others. He was arraigned Tuesday April 8 in Circuit Court and given notice of a sentence enhancement as a repeat offender.

"The victims in this case were literal Good Samaritans, terrorized simply for trying to be helpful," said Prosecutor McDonald. "This defendant has served multiple sentences for past gun crimes. We cannot allow repeat violent offenders to continue endangering our communities. Enough is enough."

Webb is facing 20 felony counts for the December 24, 2024 incidents, including a murder charge that carries a sentence of up to life without parole. The charges also include Felony Firearm-3rd Offense, which carries an additional mandatory 10-year prison term if convicted.

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for May 13 in Oakland County Circuit Court.

Charges are accusations and individuals are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
