DESCRIPTION:<p>Food Protection Manager Certification Course is a two day course on March 10, 12, 17 and 19 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the North Oakland Health Center (1200 N Telegraph Rd, Building 34E, Pontiac). Attendance is required for the duration of the class to sit for the exam. The course registration fee is $247.25 per person and is not refundable.</p><p>The certification course will discuss:</p><ul>    <li>Causes and prevention of foodborne illness</li>    <li>Safe food handling, storage, preparation and service</li>    <li>Proper personal hygiene practices</li>    <li>Policies for reporting health issues</li>    <li>Food allergen awareness</li>    <li>Food safety management systems</li>    <li>Cleaning and sanitizing procedures</li>    <li>Emergency preparedness</li>    <li>Pest control</li></ul><p>The program satisfies the food safety manager certification requirement of the Oakland County Sanitary Code Article IV, as well as the Michigan Food Law, Act 92 of 2000.</p><p>Complete the <a href="https://www.oakgov.com/home/showpublisheddocument/28811/638996852855570000" target="_blank" rel="noopener">registration form</a> and mail or deliver to the Health Division with the registration fee and a copy of your previous certificate (if applicable).</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
