Red Oaks Nature Center has partnered with Nature’s Playhouse of Ferndale to offer three Wellness in the Parks programs, focused on children and their parents/caregivers. The first is Music & Play, for children ages 6 months to 4 years old. With ukulele tunes leading the way, children will explore different sounds, rhythms and instruments. This class encourages early musical appreciation, developmental growth, coordination, movement and creativity as kids learn rhythms, melodies and sounds in a playful environment. This program is perfect for parents and caregivers to bond with their children through the universal language of music. Cost is $25/per family (one parent/caregiver and one child) + $5/additional child. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 or registering online.
