DESCRIPTION:<p>Put on your walking shoes for a free tour of the Solar System Trail and enjoy children's activities, gazing at Saturn through telescopes and more. From 6-7:30 p.m., choose a planetary tour:</p><ul>    <li>Option 1: A 2.5 mile interpretive hike with Oakland County Parks naturalists. This tour will take approximately 1.5 hours and begin promptly at 6 p.m.</li>    <li>Option 2: A leisurely self-guided walk from the Sun to Jupiter. Be greeted by an Oakland Astronomy Club volunteer at each planet, sharing interesting facts and NASA planetary postcards. Allow at least 30 minutes for this tour</li></ul><p>At 7:30 p.m., enjoy an educational presentation with complimentary cider and donuts. At 8 p.m., join the Oakland Astronomy Club for a laser-guided constellation tour and see Saturn through volunteer-provided telescopes.</p><p>There will be free children’s activities from 6-7:30 p.m., including a solar system-themed craft and train rides departing from the day-use area playground.</p><p>Preregistration is required. Call Addison Oaks at 248-693-2432 or email&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 1rem;">AddisonOaks@oakgov.com. Please provide your phone number, total number of guests, number of children (for craft and glow bracelets) and your email address in case of inclement weather. Entry into the park is not included. Guests will need a vehicle permit or to purchase a daily park pass.</span></p>
