DESCRIPTION:<b style="font-size: 1rem;"><h3>The best days of summer start at the Oakland County Fair</h3></b><p>It wouldn’t be summer without the Oakland County Fair!&nbsp;The fairgrounds return to Springfield Oaks County Park in Davisburg July 10-19 with amazing shows, thrilling rides and family-friendly attractions. Oakland County Parks is the presenting sponsor of the fair.</p><p>This year’s festivities will kick-off with a special ribbon cutting ceremony Friday, July 10 that will mark not only the 250th anniversary of the United States, but also the 60th year of Oakland County Parks. During the opening tribute, leaders will dedicate a historic marker recognizing the fair’s role during the Civil War with a color guard presentation, veteran recognition and more. Afterward, the first 300 guests will enjoy cake and ice cream to celebrate the park system’s 60th birthday. The day will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display and grand finale tribute to America, courtesy of OCP.&nbsp;</p><p>July 10 will also be Military Appreciation Day, recognizing the service and sacrifice of veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families with special activities throughout the day as well as free admission to the fair for the day with military ID.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The first 400 residents to register in advance on the <a href="https://www.oakfair.org/events/2026/opening-dayarmed-forces-day" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fair website</a> will receive a free one-day parking pass on opening day, courtesy of the <a href="https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fwww.oakgov.com%2Fcommunity%2Foakland-county-parks%2Fget-involved%2Fparks-commission/1/0101019edad351a5-962f243d-983b-405b-99fc-caaa60a34884-000000/4GVv3dOPx8q5ZJfi2UFA5vZiq9cJFjjSnowo3pjodLY=452" target="_blank">Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission</a>.&nbsp;</p><p>Other fair highlights not to be missed include:</p><ul>    <li>Family-friendly entertainment like Racing Pigs, Sea Lion Splash, monster truck rides, Miracle of Birth Barn and Show-Me-Safari Petting Zoo</li>    <li>Agricultural exhibits showcasing local youth</li>    <li>Carnival rides food and games</li>    <li>Livestock shows and demonstrations, such as horse, market poultry shows, cat, pocket pet, dog, sheep, cavy, rabbit, goat, hog/swine and cattle shows</li>    <li>Live events, including Figure 8 races, ATR Monster Truck Show, Lost Nation Rodeo, Microwrestling Federation, Night of Destruction, Off Road Derby and Figure 8 King of the Ring</li>    <li>Educational experiences for all ages</li></ul><p>Fair hours are 9 a.m.-10 p.m. daily and 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
