Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Ice Age Giants

See and touch fossils from Michigan’s frozen past

Compare the sizes and lifestyles of these cold-tolerant mammals as you get to know them. Delve into exciting research with DNA studies and replication that may reveal some ice-age genes in action today. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-585-0100 during nature center hours or register online.
