Main Event 2026

Overview

Main Street Oakland County’s annual gala event includes an award ceremony recognizing excellence in downtown revitalization.

Come Celebrate With Us

The Main Event is a special evening each year—celebrating the successes of all the Main Street Oakland County communities and placing a spotlight on the notable people and projects from the previous year.

It takes so many dedicated people to make and maintain a thriving downtown district or neighborhood commercial corridor, including elected and appointed officials, district leaders and staff, volunteers, economic developers, partners, and small business owners.

Award winners can inspire every community to take their activities to the next level, keeping their downtown or corridor ever improving and vital.

Award categories this year include:

  • Spirit of Main Street
  • Achievement in Community Character or Historic Preservation
  • Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship
  • Community Event of the Year
  • District Placemaking
  • Small Business Retention and Attraction
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Main Street Resilience
  • Outstanding Partnership
  • Main Street Leader

Tickets are $35 and include hearty hors d’oeuvres.

Theme: New Frontiers—What is Next for Main Street
