City of Southfield - Southfield Drain No. 2


Inspection by WRC staff indicated that repairs to the Southfield Drain No. 2 are needed. The project will consist of the lining of approximately 8,400 lineal feet of 10” to 20” diameter clay pipe with a cured-in-place pipe product. Also, as part of this project are open cut repairs within local streets at 8 locations and 4 point repairs. The construction of this project will be coordinated with the City of Southfield’s street paving program. A summer 2010 bid date is scheduled. The estimated project cost is $1,100,000. Gary Nigro, P.E. ,is the Water Resources Office engineer assigned to the project. The project will be funded by an Army Corps of Engineers grant.
