Closed-circuit televising inspection by WRC indicated that sections of the Amy Relief Sewer have sustained corrosion damage from hydrogen sulfide, necessitating that repairs be performed. Wade, Trim has been selected as the design engineer to prepare bid documents for the project. The project consists of cured-in-place pipe lining of approximately 7,000 linear feet of 21” and 24” diameter pipe, much of which is located in the median of Woodward Avenue, between Quarton Road and Trowbridge Road in Bloomfield Hills. The estimated project cost is $1,216,000 and a spring 2012 bid date is scheduled. George Nichols, P.E., project engineer and Glenn R. Appel, P.E., Assistant Chief Engineer, are the WRC staff assigned to the project.
