Jeffrey A. Schonfield

7/12/1948-8/10/1969, age 21

Mr. Schonfield was from South Lyon, MI. He was a member of the 101st Airborne Division and volunteered to serve in Vietnam. He arrived in Vietnam on April 2, 1969 and was killed in the mountains of the A Shau Valley on August 10, 1969 while acting as a point man. His goal was to see the world in the Army and return home to become a history teacher.
