Mr. Feeney was from Detroit, MI. He was a Sgt. with the 25th Infantry Division, Alpha Troop, 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry which was an armor unit stationed at the Cu Chi base camp. He volunteered to go to Vietnam and kept it a secret from his identical twin brother so he wouldn't follow him to Vietnam. He was awarded the Silver Star medal for gallantry in action and the Bronze Star medal for meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces. He died from burns in Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam.
