Mr. Dunham was from Novi, MI. He worked on his uncles farm before being drafted into the U.S. Army. He was sent overseas and was a runner with the 32nd Infantry Division and died on 10/15/1918 in the Argonne Forest, France while carrying dispatches as a runner. He was killed by artillery during a heavy barrage. He was originally buried in the Argonne American Cemetery in France but his remains were repatriated in 1921 to the Novi Cemetery.
