Prior to being appointed Chief Deputy Treasurer in January 2003, Keith had served as the County's Investment Administrator since July 1999. Keith has over twenty years of public service in the governmental finance and treasury field.
Prior to his position as the County's Investment Administrator, Keith served as the Finance Director/Treasurer/Clerk for the City of Rochester Hills, Director of the Management Audit Department for the County of Wayne, the Finance Director/Treasurer for the Village of Lake Orion, and served as a Senior Internal Auditor for Oakland County.
Keith served on the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada's Education Committee, Investment Policy Certification Committee and the Service Award Committee and is the current Chairman of their Investment Practices Committee and Dr. Jackson R.E. Phillips Award Committee.
He is the Past President of the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association and a recipient of their P.R.I.M.E. (Professional Recognition in Municipal Excellence) Award.
Keith obtained certifications as both a Certified Municipal Clerk and Certified Municipal Finance Administrator.
Keith has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Business Management.
