Protect Your Identity and Peace of Mind Oakland County Sheriff's Office Teams up with Absolute Shreds to Offer Free Shredding for Oakland County Residents. Residents of Oakland County may bring their confidential documents to be shred for free by Absolute Shreds state of the art high volume shredding truck. Residents are reminded to limit documents to three or four boxes. The following materials can be destroyed: paper (white or colored), file folders, staples and paper clips, plastic ID cards, empty prescription bottles, disk drives, carbon paper, cds, microfilm, microfiche to name a few. Hazardous material, syringes or needles, or any heavy metal objects such as nuts, both, or metal plates, may NOT be destroyed. Please check back for new shredding dates. Hudson Royal Oak, MI 48067 Royal Oak Recycling (White Lake) 10320 Highland Rd. White Lake, MI 48386 Cost: The paper material needs to be dropped-off at one of the two above locations during the allotted hours and will be shredded at no cost; however, there is a slight fee if one needs to witness the shredding of documents. Royal Oak Recycling guarantees that the material will be shredded the same day of delivery and can issue a letter of destruction if requested.
