Major, Corrections and Court Services Division
Major Charles Snarey is currently Commander of the Corrections and Court Services Division.
Major Snarey started with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office in 1974. He was promoted to Deputy II in 1978, Sergeant in 1986, Lieutenant in 1991, Captain in 2000, and promoted to the rank of Major in charge of Correctional and Court Services in January, 2007. He was an original member of the Corrections Training Council started in the late 1970s.
Major Snarey was on the Transition Team which assisted in organization and opening the Main Jail Annex in 1989. He also participated in developing Policy and Procedure for the opening of the Frank Greenan Detention Facility, and most recently was on the Professional Services Selection Committee for the current Jail Renovation Project.
