Oakland County's Environmental Stewardship Services program prepares and communicates information, plans and options that conserve, promote and enhance Oakland County's natural environment while supporting beneficial economic growth, development and redevelopment.

Emerald Ash Borer
Emerald Ash Borer detected in Oakland County as well as Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties. Firewood cannot be moved out of these affected counties along with 7 other surrounding counties. EAB has infested or killed some 6 million trees in southeast Michigan

Environmental Health Services
The Environmental Health Services (EHS) unit of the Health Division administers a number of programs and services to help protect health through the promotion of environmentally sound practices.
