The District Court Division handles cases before the 34 judges in 16 district courts located throughout Oakland County.

Assistant Prosecutors in this division conduct preliminary examinations on felony cases, handle all misdemeanor criminal cases as well as ticket and civil infraction cases written under state law.

District Court assistant prosecutors also review police requests for misdemeanor warrants for misdemeanor crimes committed in the judicial district to which they are assigned.
