Elder Abuse Section

The Elder Abuse Section handles cases involving older victims of assaultive crimes and the financial exploitation of seniors.

A prosecutor and victim advocate are assigned to each case for the entire court process. This team approach provides a support for elder victims, and addresses the intimidation and fears many seniors may experience during a criminal prosecution.

Special training provides prosecutors with effective trial strategies to help ensure that people who vicitmize  elder citizens are successfully prosecuted.

Elder abuse prosecutors  share their expertise by  providing training to many community organizations.
