  • Former Adjunct Professor of Law at Detroit College of Law for 20 years teaching Probate Procedure and Juvenile Law; Past instructor for Michigan Judicial Institute and National College for Juvenile Justice in Reno, Nevada
  • Member, Board of Fellows - National Center for Juvenile Justice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Elected member of the Judicial Tenure Commission
  • Trustee: Kingsbury County Day School, Crossroads for Youth; Trustee Emeritus, Cranbrook Educational Community; Former Chair and Governor Emeritus, Cranbrook Schools; former Senior Warden Christ Church Cranbrook
  • Chair, Board, Starr Commonwealth
  • Serves on Governor's Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect
  • Awards: Gerald G. Hicks - Child Welfare Leadership; Distinguished Service Award - Birmingham Jaycees; Meritorious Service to the Juvenile Courts of America by a Judge - NCJFCJ; Boys' Club Medallion - Boys' Club of America; North Oakland NAACP Judicial Award; Distinguished Alumni Award - Cranbrook Schools; Child Advocacy Award - Starr Commonwealth; Arthur E.
