Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo

Oakland Pet Adoption Center will be participating in the 9th Annual Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo! 

This event is presented by Pedigree® Food for Dogs, and hosted by the Detroit Zoo in partnership with the Michigan Humane Society.

Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th

10am to 5pm 

This is a great chance to save an animal and meet a new best friend! Nearly 1,000 animals, including dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, were adopted through this event in 2008.
For health and safety reasons, please leave current companion animals at home.

The event will be held outdoors under tents in the Detroit Zoo front parking lot, located at 8450 W. 10 Mile Road in Royal Oak.

Howl-A-Ween Fall Fetch

Many cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs in need of lovng homes will be coming together at Howl-A-Ween Fall Fetch!

Saturday, October 10th at Oakland Pet Adoption Center

10am-4pm

This is an event for the whole family! There will be a variety of animals in need of forever homes, you are sure to pick your perfect match.

2009 Spay/Neuter Clinics

The Oakland Pet Adoption Center will be continuing to host the low cost spay/neuter clinics for cats (made possible by the Michigan Humane Society and the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance). In fact the Michigan Humane Society has added more zip codes that are eligible for these clinics.

The 2009 schedule is listed below.
