View some of our adoptable animals online (cats or dogs) or come to the shelter to visit all of our animals available for adoption right now. Our staff will assist you in finding the right pet. Now that you are ready to adopt, our staff would like to help you find the perfect pet for you. This is a very important commitment and is not something to rush, since your new pet will be with you for years to come.

Please bring a drivers license or state I.D., as they are required to complete the adoption process.

You can get a head start on the adoption process by downloading and printing an adoption application (file size 44k) and bringing it to the Oakland Pet Adoption Center when you visit. Printed applications are also available at our office. For more information about any of our online applications, please contact our center.

*With an abundance of cats, Oakland Pet Adoption Center is offering Oakland County residents a great chance to rescue two cats for the adoption price of one. If you wish to adopt two cats, the Center will waive the fee of the second cat. *

Two cats can find a new loving home for the low price of $57.50. For a potential pet owner, this means that you'll be adopting two cats that have been sterilized, have age appropriate shots, have been tested for FIC and Feline Leukemia and are registered in the County. They have also been treated for worms and have had Advantage treatment.
