Our staff will assist you in finding the right pet. Now that you are ready to adopt, our staff would like to help you find the perfect pet for you. This is a very important commitment and is not something to rush, since your new pet will be with you for years to come.
Please bring a drivers license or state I.D., as they are required to complete the adoption process.

You can get a head start on the adoption process by downloading and printing an adoption application (link above) and bringing it to the Oakland Pet Adoption Center when you visit. Note: It is the policy of this shelter that every dog over 4 months of age being adopted leave with an Oakland County Dog License. Some cities, townships and counties will not honor this tag.
