The Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center has been aiding animals by providing shelter and care while trying to find them new, loving homes since 1980. Our facility is 23,151 square feet located at 1700 Brown Road in Auburn Hills.
The Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center has a Kennel Unit that oversees the day-to-day welfare of the animals being housed at the Center. Our friendly staff is there at the ready to help you locate your lost pet or to find the perfect addition to your family.
The Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center has a veterinary unit that consists of three surgical suites, sick animal ward, quarantine area and veterinary exam room. Each animal that is adopted from the Center is examined by our veterinary staff, vaccinated, treated for parasites and spayed or neutered.
Come and walk our adoptable dogs on our well maintained grounds.
We have a half acre fenced in area along with three smaller sized pens so that you can get to know your new pet-to-be.
We are in the process of detailing a half mile walking trail (Fitness Unleashed
), marked so that you can record your process.
Not a dog person, come and sit in “Kitty City”. This room is filled with toys, obstacles and fun places to perch for the five to six cats that inhabit this room, all available for adoption.
