Downtown Royal Oak is located just north of I-696, east of Woodward Avenue at the crossroads of Eleven Mile Road, Main Street and Washington Street.

Mission: The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is dedicated to promoting the economic growth of Downtown Royal Oak through multiple revitalization efforts.

Description: Downtown Royal Oak with its trendy, upscale restaurants, coffeehouses, and entertainment venues, also offers a rich mix of retail specialty stores, services and office businesses.  Main and Washington Streets each contain a unique variety of early twentieth century architecture and compatible, exciting, new construction, promotional events and ample parking that attract shoppers and visitors from a wide market area.  Downtown has created a diverse, one-stop commercial district where customers find quality and personal services.  Shoppers and visitors to Main Street, Washington Street, and the side streets, experience the City's unique sense of place and enjoy the pedestrian atmosphere.
