Downtown Lake Orion

Fire Truck in Lake Orion parade

Downtown Lake Orion is located on the east shore of Lake Orion, approximately 4 miles north of I-75, just off of M-24 (Lapeer Road) at the crossroads of Broadway and Flint Streets, in Northern Oakland County.

Mission: To create an organizational structure which involves the merchants, landlords, shoppers, and the municipality to maximize the economic potential and promote revitalization of the business community while preserving the historic character of the downtown for the benefit of all and to build a community that is at the very heart of a township where living is a vacation.

Description: Downtown Lake Orion and the entire DDA District combine a unique, historic central business district with a commercial corridor that extends south along M-24.  The DDA district contains a wide array of historic commercial architecture in the core area together with a mix of special events, retail specialty stores, restaurants, services, parks, and offices along the Polly Ann Trail.  Historic neighborhoods along the northeast boundary of the core downtown and lakefront add to Downtown Lake Orion's distinct sense of place.
