The Main Street Oakland County Advisory Board was established by County Executive L. Brooks Patterson in July of 2007. The Board is comprised of 15 individuals, including a Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary and is supported by MSOC staff members. The purpose of the Board is to support and advocate for Main Street Oakland County by annually evaluating the program, upholding the National Main Street Program trademark, helping to establish program priorities, serving on committees, raising funds, selecting new MSOC communities, and promoting MSOC and other traditional downtowns throughout Oakland County. The Board advises the MSOC Program Coordinator and Staff including the County Executive and his administrative staff.  They do not set policy.
