The Clinton River Trail is a recreational trail on 12 miles of abandoned rail line through the heart of Oakland County, including the cities of Sylvan Lake, Pontiac, Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills and Rochester. It connects with the existing West Bloomfield trail to the west and the Macomb Orchard Trail (under construction) to the east.
Parts of the trail are open, specifically those in Rochester and Auburn Hills. The other sections are owned by the Trust for Public Lands. They are holding the properties until the communities can collect grant money and purchase them.
