BADGE DAYS 

For Cub Scouts, Webelos, Brownies and Girl Scouts.
Both the Wint Nature Center and Lyon Oaks Nature Center offer Badge Days which fulfill all requirements necessary for scout badges.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required.  View this seasons offerings!

Fourth and fifth grade Webelos or Girl Scouts will learn about the Nishnawbe Indians native to this area, then work together to build an authentic longhouse. Minimum 15 - 20 scouts needed. Contact Tim Nowicki at 248.437.7345 to book your adventure!

NATURE CENTER FIELD TRIPS

Scheduled Badge Days don't fit your calendar?  Call the nature centers to arrange a field trip just for your group of 10 or more!  Programs can be tailored to fit your needs! 

CAMP WILDERNESS

Perfect for overnights, weekends and week-long campouts!  Group camping is available April - November (special arrangements can be made for winter; covered shelters available).

Camp Wilderness includes two areas accommodating 60 or 100 campers, with platform tents; pavilions; heated modern bathhouse; fire rings, benches, grills and picnic tables; water and electricity. 

Independence Oaks 1,088 acres offers overnight group campers access to a nature center, trails, and (in season) the swimming beach and boating. The nature center staff can enhance your outdoor experience. Call 248.625.6473.

There's always something that needs to be done at the parks.  Volunteers can help!

- For all scout levels, including Eagle, Cadet and Seniors 

FISHING PROGRAMS

Learn to Fish programs at Addison Oaks, Groveland Oaks and Independence Oaks with loaner tackle (pole and tackle box). Or schedule the Adventure Sport Mobile for your group.

CANOEING PROGRAMS

Schedule a naturalist-led canoeing program at Independence Oaks. Call Wint Nature Center for details. 148.625.6473.

GEOCACHING

Working on a Map and Compass or Orienteering badge? Discover this unique sport which uses satellites to tell your GPS (Global Positioning System) unit a person's position anywhere on earth! There's ongoing Geocaching at five Oakland County Parks! Beginner clinics are offered periodically. Schedule a geocaching field trip at the Wint Nature Center. 248.625.6473.

SCOUT DISCOUNTS!
