Oakland County Native American Map
Purchase Oakland County Native American Map Online
The first map of the series, Oakland County Native Americans, is now complete. The document contains mapped information about locations of past reservations, villages, burial grounds, trails, and so forth. In addition, the map also includes local family photos, images of artifacts, famous Native American quotes, historical facts, vocabulary examples and more from the three most noted tribes of Oakland County: the Ottawa, Potowatomi and Ojibwe (Chippewa), known as "The People of the Three Fires." The map is a great resource for local historians, planners, interested citizens, and a great educational tool for school children to get an understanding for, and encourage the preservation of, the Native American heritage of our area. Printed in color on 36"x 42" paper.
