Take the OakGreen Challenge
Two Easy Steps to Register:
1. Go to EPA Home ENERGY Yardstick and complete your FREE home assessment.
You will need your utility bills for the period between January 1, 2011 and December 31st, 2012 to obtain a Home yardstick Score from the EPA Home Energy Yardstick website
If you can’t find your utility bills, you can access the data from your utility provider’s website using these instructions (3.2 Mb) (DTE Energy and Consumers Power customers only.)
You will be asked to enter the amount and cost of your energy use into the Home Energy Yardstick Tool.
Enter in the total cost (including all fees and taxes). You will also need to know the square footage of your home (including basement), your zip code, and the number of people living in your home.
Once you have calculated your Yardstick Score, click Print These Results to maintain a copy of your record and to reference in the next step.
