Waterford, Michigan -- Alan Kiriluk, chairman of the Oakland County Business Roundtable Transportation Committee, was honored Oct. 17 at the Michigan Association of Planning (MAP) conference at Grand Traverse Resort.
Kiriluk, chairman of Troy-based KIRCO real estate development, received the President Award from outgoing MAP President Charlotte Burckhardt.
"One of my perks as president is to honor someone who has inspired me," said Burckhardt, who is a principal planner with Oakland County Planning & Economic Development Services.
Burckhardt praised Kiriluk for his outstanding civic engagement, leadership, vision, and action in his role as Transportation Committee chair.
Kiriluk also serves as chair of the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Board, chairman of the city of Troy Downtown Development Authority and as a member of the Henry Ford Health System Finance Committee and the Henry Ford Health System Foundation Board of Trustees.
