Patterson Briefed on Budget Hearings, Moved to Rehabilitation Unit

​Pontiac, Michigan -- Chief Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson briefed Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson on the status of Patterson's recommended budget late Tuesday afternoon at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac. The Finance Committee of the Board of Commissioners holds its final hearing on Patterson's budget recommendation Thursday morning. In addition, Patterson has moved to the rehabilitation unit in McLaren Oakland Hospital where he continues to respond well to treatment.

"I spent an hour with Brooks yesterday and he's in good spirits," Poisson said. "Brooks is looking forward to when he returns to the Executive Office Building."

Patterson will remain in the rehabilitation unit until his discharge from the hospital. No date has been set for his discharge at this time.

Meanwhile, the Finance Committee hearing will take place at 9 a.m. Thursday (tomorrow) in Committee Room A at the Board of Commissioners.
