Pontiac, Michigan -- The Finance Committee of the Board of Commissioners held a hearing today on Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson's balanced three-year budget recommendation as he continues to recuperate from orthopedic injuries at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac. Doctors have not set a date for his discharge.
"As Brooks takes the necessary time to heal, his team continues to implement his plan for Oakland County," Chief Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson said. "It is because of Brooks' leadership that we have a balanced budget, a healthy general fund surplus, and a AAA bond rating."
The Finance Committee will vote Aug. 30 to send the budget recommendation to the full board. To review Patterson's balanced budget for Fiscal Years 2013-2015, go to OakGov.com/Fiscal.
